Christopher D. Lewis is a contemporary harpsichordist and pianist originally from Cardiff, Wales. In 2005, he moved to Canada to study at McGillUniversity. He became the first person in nearly 200 years of the university's history to obtain a contemporary harpsichord degree when he graduated in 2009.
Equally at home with the piano, Christopher has taught in the United Kingdom and is a certified piano instructor at the renowned Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM).
Christopher's teaching philosophy includes a good amount of music theory, rudimentary technical work, and a good splash of fun, enjoyable music to encourage his students both to work hard and enjoy music. He also believes that students should undertake learning both classical and popular music in order to obtain well rounded appreciation for different styles of music and for a good solid musical foundation.
Christopher has given many concerts across Canada, the US and in Europe and released his debut CD aged 22 released by New Mix Music in California. He is available for piano or harpsichord lessons.
